What is an Activation?
A heightened state of consciousness, created by you and held with care. Not a fixed technique — your own breath, your own journey.
We move in and out of different states of consciousness all the time, throughout our lives. An Activation is the empowered acceptance of, and active participation in, a heightened state of consciousness — reached through breath, through energy, or simply through life as it happens.
What matters is not the doorway but the willingness to walk through it — and to engage with it consciously.
An Activation is a moment in space and time, usually held between you and a facilitator: an opportunity to enter a deeper level of consciousness, and to stay with what is found there. Whatever arrives is welcomed, and treated in complete confidence.
Jon uses the word Activation because the same shift in consciousness shows up in many related practices, breathwork among them:
- Holotropic Breathwork
- Conscious Connected Breathwork
- Osho's Dynamic Meditation
- Pi Villaraza's Kundalini Activation
- Native American vision quests
- Plant-medicine ceremonies
- Somatic therapy
- Yogic meditation
If you’re coming to this work from plant medicine, breathwork may feel like a more grounded relative — just as expansive, just as powerful, but perfectly personal and direct, with nothing to come down from. It can be a way to keep going, to integrate what those journeys opened — or a place to begin to reconnect, if things went further than you wanted.
The breath is always here.
Unlike most doorways to altered states, the breath is continuous — it cannot be taken away, it requires no substance, and it leaves no hangover. It is the one instrument that is always with you.
In an Activation the pattern isn't imposed on you. Each person tunes in to their own body and finds their own rhythm. The shift follows naturally — not because something external was added, but because something internal was unblocked.
The calm is not the point — it’s the proof. What lasts is what changes underneath: a nervous system that has learned to discharge, a body that recovers, attention that sharpens. The longevity and the clarity people chase are downstream of this.
The role of the facilitator is not to drive the journey but to hold the space in which the journey becomes possible. Jon's thirty-year journey is what creates that holding.

The most welcoming way in is a one-to-one session — personal, supported, at your own pace. If you'd prefer to begin alongside others, a group Activation offers the same work with a sense of community, at a lower cost. A free discovery call is always available either way.
